What if my dogs can’t be off their lead?

The number one priority is keeping your puppers safe, so if yours can’t be off lead, that’s absolutely fine with me. Leads can be removed during the editing process so you won’t even be able to tell your pupper still had one attached. It is recommended that you bring a long lead so we can still capture fun action shots of your pup at their goofiest.

What if my dog doesn’t know any commands?

Regardless of whether your pup has ever had any training, or knows any basic commands, I can work with them to get images from our session and have different methods and tools to help get their focus and attention. So whether your pupper is trained or not, I will work with them and you, to get the best out of them.

Is it okay for me to be in the photo with my dog?

Yes! Whilst capturing images of your pupper is the priority, you are more than welcome to share the spotlight and be in some images with your pup, whether that’s for some nice portrait style images or some creative fun images for those of you who are a little shy. Remember when sharing the frame with your pupper, dress tidily in neutral colours and wear clean shoes in case we capture your feet!

What do I need to know for a Farm Experience?

As it‘s a working farm with stock, it’s best to ensure your dog has been flea/tick treated to ensure they don’t experience any discomfort or medical issues. If your dog doesn’t have good recall then they are best to remain on lead around stock. Gates passed through must be left as they were, e.g. if open leave open, if closed then re-close after passing through. Terrain can be uneven so good hiking shoes or gumboots are recommended, failure to wear appropriate footwear could prevent your session from being able to proceed due to health & safety requirements. Good fitness levels are required of both you and your pups.

What if its raining on the day or the weather is just terrible?

Easy, we reschedule for another day. As the weather can be unpredictable, when we book your session we will plan a back up date as well, so that if on the day mother nature has other ideas, we can reschedule for the back up date.

What if I have more than three dogs?

Your session fee covers up to three pups from the same family, for any additional pups please add $100 per pup to the session fee, this covers additional sesssion and procesing time required to accomodate additional pups. A minimum of a further ten images per additional pup will be supplied for you to select from. If you have more than six pups, please contact me for a quote tailored to your needs

Do you offer interest free payment plans?

You can pay for your artwork purchases in full by cash, bank deposit or credit card at your image reveal and purchase appointment.

Alternatively if you need a little longer to pay for your investment. I offer interest free, direct layby plans, tailored to you.

As a general rule, purchases under $1k can be paid off over three equal monthly installments and purchases over $1k can be paid off over six equal monthly installments.

However longer terms of up to 12 months are available for larger purchases.

No artwork products or images are supplied until full payment is received.

Don't take my word for it.

Jack and I were so fortunate to have our photos taken by Kirsten. The location was amazing and we had lots of opportunities to try different ideas. Kirsten was so patient and took the time to to capture my pup’s quirky personality perfectly. We also got some photos together which I will treasure. Thanks so much!

We were lucky enough to win a photo session with Kirsten. The farm and company were amazing, we both loved every minute of it. When it came time for the photo reveal session, it was so hard for me and my partner to pick images, only because they were all so fantastic and showed Odin’s true characteristics to the full extent. Thank you so much for your time Kirsten, it has been a fantastic experience.

Amazing location and incredibly accommodating. I had the most enjoyable time with Kirsten and she took beautiful images of my boy. Highly recommend.

Hi, I’m Kirsten!

The woman behind the lens and my beautiful little muse Shelby.

The Chihuahua who stole all the room in my heart and my bed too! My beautiful little girl, who earlier this year and just four months shy of her 17th birthday, sadly lost her near five year long fight with GME – meningitis on the brain. To say Shelby’s loss has been profound is an understatement, her impact on my life and heart will live on forever.

Shelby’s eternal memory is my ongoing inspiration to capture precious memories of your beautiful fur babies, so you too will have something to remember them by and cherish forever.

As long as I can remember, there’s two things I’ve been passionate about during my life – a love of animals and photography.

Whether it’s preserving memories for you to love for a lifetime or working with rescues to help their animals get adopted more quickly, being able to combine my two passion’s is nothing short of a dream.

Wort & Flea Pet Photography, based in rural Pokeno, New Zealand, is the destination location, where I will capture the love of your fur baby being themselves in beautiful scenic, bold and colourful, personality filled portraits.

With such a love of animals I easily connect with any new fur baby I meet and can easily help put them at ease, their safety and enjoyment my number one priority throughout the experience.
